Quote of the Day

Matthew to Trish in a movie theatre after dogging on people who believed the Da Vinci Code:
"Trish, you know what's fun? Belittling people. It makes you feel big...you should try it. You might grow a few inches."

prayer

Hi friends,

If you guys could pray for me today...well, I welcome it everyday but...I would appreciate it.

I've been feeling some heavy condemnation lately and its becoming really hard to brush off. Its been getting worse and I hate that.

Thanks.
Denise

Oh, and thanks for the comments on my blog pic....and just to make it clear, my hair is not short like that-although I would love for it to be! That picture was taken over a year ago! =)

OOB

Keep praying for the Old Orchard Beach brigade.

They began their pier ministry last night(along with cast and a few other people) and 4 people were saved! Hallelujah!

Don't know if any of them will get on to let you all know how its going from an insiders perspective, but from mine, the war is waging and they are fighting in the thick of it.

Keep on praying for them!

Also - it was so great to see Heather, Acacia, Elaine...my roomies Katie(and Tom who drove to OOB to surprise Katie-pray for him!) and Olivia. Familiar and loving faces.
Looking forward to seeing all your lovely faces soon.

Denise =)

Preaching, need your prayers

Hey Guys,

Get this, a brigade is going to Nicole Brindles old church in Richmond! I am preaching there and I am really going to ask for your prayers. Just pray that the Lord would just use me to speak truth and life into this corp. That would be awesome. Get this, its also getting translated into 3 different languages, don't know how, they just are, kinda cool, i feel like an important speaker person, so thats cool. Get this there were six commas in my last sentence (dictated by andy mac, who is back in town!)

Basically I am preaching and i need your guys coverage, i feel a bit of intimidation setting in, pray against that sucker (sorry Jenea).

Love you guys

Prayed for you

As I was driving back to Vernon on Tuesday (I had five hours with just me and the road) I spent a good amount of time praying for each of you guys - my session mates whom I love.
A very very brief description of what I prayed...
Andrew - to continue to grow as a valiant warrior.
Kirsty - to continue to grow in wisdom, discernment and intimacy with Jesus.
Anthony - Influence and vision
Andrea - Full healing, even bigger heart for the lost
Phil - Walk, live and fight in the fullness of freedom and victory
Crystal - to be blessed until she bursts! (I think Jesus knows it's a figure of speech)
Katie - Smooth transitions and peace about the fall
Denise - Wisdom, love, fullness of identity in Christ
Olivia - Strength, passion and direction
Andy - Grace and love, power
Dan - FAITH, trust, hope, love
Kath - To be guided by the TRUTH and the Holy Spirit
Joe - Inner strength, full salvation for his family
Matt - Good health, direction
Jacynta - Growing in wisdom, submission, leadership
Roro - Drink full of the living water, growth, hunger for Jesus
Joel - Deeply rooted in love and compassion
Craig - Moved into action for the next season of his life,
Joshua - POWER
Ashley - Strength, stepping out, courage
Melissa - Wisdom, courage, encouragement
Jenea - Good ears to hear Yahweh, submissive heart
Kir - (yes, I prayed for myself too) Purity in thought, word, motivation and deed, deeper love for my neighbours, more trust in Jesus for my future.

Now, this was just a brief synopsis. I prayed more extensively.
I pray that they were timely and a blessing.
Grace,

Conversation of the Day

(Trish, Xander, Kath, Matthew and Brother Davyd talking at Saint James Anglican Church.)
Brother Davyd: So I already ordered your Christmas presents.
Matthew: Awesome!
Xander: Are you going to dress up like Santa when you give them to us?
Brother Davyd: I bet you'd like that. You could come sit on my lap and I would get to ask you 'what would you like for Christmas? Have you been NAUGHTY or nice?'
(LOTS OF LAUGHING BY EVERYONE.)
Brother Davyd: But yes, for the kids here at Saint James I will be dressing up as Santa at Christmas.
(Matthew and Xander look at each other.)
Brother Davyd: It'll be easy. I won't need a fake beard. I won't need fake...
Kath: PADDING!
Brother Davyd: ...Glasses.
Kath: (in slight shock) Did I say that out loud?
(MORE LAUGHING.)

Pray for OOB

Hey y'all

It's been a while! I though I would just write a quick message to pray for OOB brigade. Pray that Holy Spirit would move powerfully. Pray for lots of salvation. Pray for safe trips there. I leave tomorrow!!

On another note. I think I have found and apartment and a roommate in Toronto. The only problem is I lack $$ for rent. So if you guys could pray that God would provide. He has been totally faithful in providing for me this far. It is divine that I have been hooked up with this person and that the place has furniture. I prayed for furniture! God is ever faithful!!

I miss you all and I am excited to see some of you soon!

Leaving On A Jetplane

Yo,
hey guys, I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm not going to update until I get back next monday from my dad's wedding. I just got done counseling at Camp Sebago today (half an hour ago) and have to pack and go to bed. I'm so stinkin' tired. And I'm going to be really busy for the next few days and won't get a chance to update probably, so I will do it when I get back!

BTW
Please pray for Cody, Jeremy, Curtis, Dylan, Kaleb, Simon, Benjamin, Sawyer, Chance, and especially Spincer (he's 9 and having nightmares about his 4 year old brother. He cries every night at bed time, and other stuff). Thanks very much. Pray that they all accept Jesus as their savior, and turn their lives over to him.

love you guys. I missed reading stuff about you for the last couple days

Joe

Quote of the Day!

These days It's not about position or title,
It's about having the courage, vision and integrity that inspires others.

Funniest Moment

Hi Guys. On a lighter note, I was wondering what is everyones funniest moment from this year?

Up there for me would be acting out the storey of Baalam and his donkey with Andy Mac at KFC. Andy was the donkey and I was Baalam.

Yes, the donkey spoke, and I got to beat him up and all that stuff.

Good times.

HEHE

Didn't realise it was that long guys, sorry! Seriously worth the read though!!

Awesome dream I had and an Interpretation

(Lisa) my mate jacynta, a war college student had a dream last night,
She is the same person that had the dream last >time that i emailed you.
(dream interpreter) This is a dream of confirmation. It is the Lord confirming
that seeds which have been placed in people’s hearts were birthed in
the heart of the Father, and that ‘if Christ is for us, who can be against us’.
(me) "I had a dream that i was in the War Room (24 hour Prayer room), Jeni and
Regan were also there. I was >listening to Matt Redman's "Father's Song".
(interpreter) Upon reading this I saw a vision of angels standing on the
roof of whatever building the War Room is in, and they were frequently
carrying prayers and intercessions to the Father. Also, many angels were being
dispatched as a response to the prayers. I believe this is the Lord saying He
is inexpressibly pleased with the prayers that have been continually offered
before Him, and that they are precious to His ears and contain great power.
The Lord will unleash an overflow of blessing due to the faithfulness of the
many prayer warriors who regularly use this room and also who are learning to
‘pray without ceasing’.
“Pray with faith and from His heart”.
I’m not sure of the lyrics of Matt Redman’s ‘Father’s Song’, but they probably
have significance in confirming the Lord’s message through this dream. If the
song speaks of the Father’s love or heart for people, the Lord is saying that He
is the Father of all, including those who don’t know Him yet, and that His heart
aches to bring them unto Him.
(me) I looked out the window and I see Katie in the alley and then I see all these
people sitting in a circle wearing >different flags of countries and also
different religions. I saw a guy wearing a salvo flag but instead of blood and
>fire it said something else starting with M. and they were around a fire and
there was drums and they were >throwing red liquid around maybe paint and i got
this sick feeing in my stomach and tense shoulders, so then I >opened the window
to yell out to Katie to try and find out what was happening and she told me
(through hand >movements) to shut the window, i figured cause the music was to
loud and she was trying to be undercover.
(interpreter) I believe the people wearing flags of different countries and religions is the
Lord saying that people of various cultures and backgrounds are there to be
ministered to. Contextual and incarnational ministry to them is important, and
the Lord will equip people of the War College to minister to them. Sitting in a
circle is symbolic of them being brought into relationship and unity. I believe
the fire represents the fire of the Holy Spirit, and also an outworking of signs
and manifestations to grab people’s attention and draw them into faith. The
Salvo flag no longer saying ‘blood and fire’ and the red liquid being thrown
around I believe refers to the danger of people losing focus on Jesus and the
blood of Christ (the red liquid seems to represent ‘fake blood’, which would
also explain the sickening feeling that was experienced). Katie motioning to
close the window on the song appears to say the same thing – the danger of
shutting out Christ-centeredness for the sake of contextualisation.
(me) Then I am talking to this guy that was present at this thing, but he wouldn't
say what was happening. (This was >a first nation's guy, a native indian, most
people in the circle were also first nations). While talking to him the >Matt
Redman song was playing really loud so i told Katie to turn it down after
talking to this guy matt C, was the >next in the War Room and I saw him in the
alley and he said that he was doing his war room shift in the alley >that night.
(interpreter) I’m not sure what ‘first nation’ means, but the guy being a
native Indian confirms the Lord wanting to bring harmony and the gospel
message across cultures and different backgrounds. Doing the shift in the
alley is symbolic of this reaching out through the Lord.
(me) Then I saw Katie with a thermos cup of coffee, and matt told her to pour that
coffee into cups for the street >people, she did and that one cup just didn't
run out then he said to me to go talk to people (the alley was >packed full of
people) and if any want to give there lives to Jesus or repent sent them to
this corner (he pointed >at a corner) and he would be waiting there.
(interpreter) This is the Lord confirming that what Katie has in her heart is
blessed, and He will bless this ministry. I believe the cup of coffee not running
out is saying that finances, etc won’t be a problem, and it is also symbolic of an
‘overflowing’ of the Lord’s anointing and blessing.
(me) He told me to do this until Andy Mac arrived. So first I go to turn the Matt
Redman song up because not one >could hear it as i am doing this, these guys
start fighting, I turned around, they looked at me and apologised and >moved
somewhere else at this point I realise that they saw the Red Shield on my shirt,
so i figured if it's going to >stop them fighting i'll just foolow them
aroundand talk with them, as I am doing this I see in a distance some >officers
I barely know from Australia . The female officer approaches me and >I give her a
hug and she bawls her eyes out, her phone
rings she looks who's calling then ignores the call, I give >her another hug and
she criest again"
(interpreter) I believe the Red Shield logo is symbolic of the Lord using the Army
and people from the War College to bring peace and breakthrough into the community
and bridge racial and religious divides.
> (this person) at the moment is going through a very difficult time due to some
difficulty within the family that is also affecting their church. I also sense
in my spirit that the (these officers) may have something to do with the War College
in the future
> God Bless! – Leigh :)

So thats my dream. And an interpretation! Its cool eh? Praise the Lord for
interpretation otherwise it would have been a weird dream that I knew had a meaning
but didn't know what the meaning was.

Now a few names were sensored near the end just to stop gossip.

Hope that you guys get blessed by this!

Love you
Jacynta

une question.

looking for helpful counsel--

what do you do when you teach on listening prayer to teens, and a girl comes up to you after and tells you that she didn't see Jesus?

this happened to me.
so i told her that if she is living in deliberate sin, and doesn't believe that He exists, then that would do it.
but she claimed it wasn't so.

so we tried it again, one on one, a few times. every time she pictured herself somewhere, Jesus didn't come onto the scene, even after she asked Him out loud to come because she wanted to see Him.

so we waited. i prayed. and nothing happened.

she had to leave-- i told her not to get under guilt or shame, or believe that because she couldn't see Him she was a worse person than anybody else. and i encouraged her to stop sinning, and to seek His face earnestly every day.

what could i have done differently?

olivia.

Funny

Ok so I'll start with whats not funny, and that is that I didn't realise that you guys were fasting! Dang it i would have been so in!

Now for the funny, here kirsten is asking us to keep a book of funniest quotes from the year but I think one of her comments has the funniest quotes of the year, so i am writing it again just so everyone can enjoy its quote book goodness!

LUST = BAD
FASTING in obedience = Good

Lets kick it between the legs. Lust that is, not fasting!

I am sorry if you don't find that funny but i thought it was stinking hillarious! I laugh out loud loudly!

Love you guys, see you all soon, am eagerly awaiting your guys return!

Fasting - it's on

Hello folks,
Fasting is on from sundown tonight until sundown tomorrow.
Prayer targets - prayers for SHALOM in Israel.
For Pray the Bible tomorrow - if you want to pray the psalms of ascent (Psalm 120 - 134), then other prayers during the day... Isaiah 40 onward.
Totally up for suggestions.

Also, as a session (and beyond) as mentioned by Tara, we can also be praying for PURITY and against the attack of LUST. Rather than asking for testimonies of this on a public forum, let's just assume everyone is under attack with this. If you are not, Praise the LORD, get to work and pray hard for your comrads. I don't have specific Scriptures on me for this, but I am sure you all know where to find them. If you don't... What have you been avoiding??? ...joking.

Let's rise up in prayer. Rise up in Faith. Rise up as an army.
Let's wave the banner of Victory.
Who's with me?

"On we march with the Blood and the Fire, to the ends of the earth we will go; And the Saviour's blood with be the theme of our song, because we love Him so."

*Please post reports on how this went so we can edify the body with the word of our testimony.

YeeHaw!!!

I'm just sitting here thinking about how many people I'm gonna see next week....

Olivia
Katie
Tara
There are more...

Oh man! Its all very exciting!!

Yep, that's all I have to share.

;)

Being above reproach doesn't always stop people from making accusations

um . . . where do i begin?

to the point . . .

CRAiG and i have been confronted a number of times in the past week about our relationship. and there have been false allegations brought up about us . . . one of our students claimed to have seen us kissing. obviously, NOT TRUE!

it's just false preceptions and such, but leadership just confronted us and we had a talk. they seem to be pretty upset and i almost felt attacked, i mean, like maybe they don't believe us.

i mentioned a bit of it in our update. and a lot of it comes from miscommunication about the rules and such. being allowed to do things by the staff that we didn't know we couldn't do.

and now everyone has their eyes on us like a hawk and we are being scrutinized for all we do.

SO . . . was wondering if you could be in prayer about this.
I just realised that I've never blogged on here before... ever. Haven't got much to say except that I love all you guys and are really looking forward to seeing you in four weeks.

Anthony

I was looking at the class photo the other day, the one where we were in the alley with Doug, and I realised how much I miss you all (Matt's not in the photo but I miss him too). See you soon.

Andrea

Trust Him

Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.

I've heard this a few times this summer . YHWH is saying "Do not be afraid, but speak out! I am with you (you are not alone) and no one will attack you (you are safe)"

Also, Psalm 146. Praise YHWH! Do not put your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.

Do not put your trust in others, not even your friends and family. Rather, trust the LORD, for blessed is he whose help is from the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, who made the heaven and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. Read the Psalm for the rest. YHWH is saying to us now to put our trust in Him. He understands that we want support from each other, but even more wants us to trust Him to be our source. YHWH is the one to save. He is the one who makes us strong. It is good to live in fellowship with our brethren, but our trust must be in the God of heaven and earth. His steadfast love endures forever and ever. Amen.

Our time is short. Speak out, act out, do not be afraid. Take this last time and go for it, all out. Don't let anything stop you from doing what YHWH is calling you to do. And use your gifts! God gave them to you and intends for them to be well worn! And then, when all is said and done, we'll give Him all the glory and shout our hallelujahs till our throats are hoarse and the Devil's ears are bleeding! Amen.

Joel

Quote book addition

"I don't know how much wailing and weeping I can commit to, but the fasting...I'm all over it!"

- Tara

P.S. I hope some of you are recording your quotes, because at grad i think it would be money if we had a top ten quotes from the year.

red hot (and righteous)

it is abso-freakin-lutely ridiculously hot here.
so hot that they declared a "heat warning," and you can get stopped by the cops if you are outside.

the problem: in some of the poorer areas, people can't afford air conditioning-- and this is a must have to survive. i'm not being hyperbolic-- people have died because of the heat.

the Salvation Army, God bless her, has opened up all of her corps and centers around the division, for the next two days, from 10am-10pm, for people who don't have AC.

this means that there must be someone at the corps at all times. Josh and Jen are away right now-- so i'm here, manning the building for 12 hours a day. we'll see what happens. i don't know yet if i will be sitting here alone for two days, or if this place will be flooded with the homeless and lowerclass citizens who need a "cooling center." that would be excellent, and a perfect opportunity-- though i'd be a little nervous about chaos breaking loose.

anyway...needless to say...the rain of Vancouver, and the snow of New England seem to be from seasons in a lifetime gone by.

drinking lots of bottled water,
Olivia

Heart

One of the few things that sets us apart, visibly from non christians is the love that we have. Well, hopefully.
You hear a lot of people talk about heart. Even in atheist circles, heart is considered a great attribute.
Our Love, this pure unadulterated love that was given to us by God, comes from our hearts... The centre of purity in our bodies is the heart. God gave us these hearts not only to pump blood through out our body, but to pump life and joy and love through out the world.
"Heart" as it is generally referred to secular circles is the determination, grit, hard work, and never quit attitude that very few possess.
I want to commend you all on the heart you have shown in the DTES, I see the love, determination, joy, grit, love and never quit attitude in all of you.
Now I wish to challenge you all to not let the enemy get a hold on your heart. Heart is one very visible sign of your inner lifestyle. Allow God to access your heart, let him have his way with it.
Then, show it. Give it up, give up the pride and self worth of caring what others think.
Let us show Gods heart to the communities around us. Be strong, Be courageous.
I love you guys, nothing will ever change that.
Thanks to you all
Andy

Oppenheimer Park

Hey Guys,
If you could all pray for the kids ministry at Oppenheimer Park that would be really great! Not much of a kids minisrey at the moment, we haven't had to may kids come out. We do hang outa bit with the adults but it's just slow starting off. I kinda feel like I am failing miserably. I know it's not true, i can't control the attendance of the kids, and there is not real expectation scince it's never happened before. However, still feels upsetting... a little. Usually you have tons of kids and you don't know what to do with them all. We have so much planned, but not very many kids, at times not even one. So prayer would be a great thing. Thanks alot for all of you support and encouraging words.
Grace and Blessings - MJ

Age Old Truth

Hi guys,

I was just thinking of how most of us (if not all) have been under attack with lonliness and thought I'd share how I've been combatting it. One is by listening to the song below, Emma (not alone) by Jason Upton and then as well as praying for you holies. Its amazing how much closer and connected I feel to you guys since intentionally praying for your weekly prayer requests.

Read the song and I pray you'll have great revelation and comfort in the truth that we are not alone. Keep the faith and continue to pray for each other, there is victory in store.

Love you all, be encouraged,
Melissa

Don’t be afraid baby don’t you cry
Daddy’s here it will be all right
You’re not alone you’re not alone

Don’t be afraid when you’re cold at night
I will keep you warm I will hold you tight
You’re not alone you’re not alone

Look beyond the window there
To the sky above to the open air
Look beyond what you can see
Close your eyes and just believe

The lion roars and the lamb lays down
They live together in a whole new town
They’re calling me and they’re calling you
From the cold hard facts that we’re on our own
To the age old truth that we’re not alone

Don’t be afraid when you scrape your knee
I’ve got a band aide waiting and a kiss for free
You’re not alone you’re not alone

Don’t be afraid of your blind belief
Because the more you fly the more you’ll see
You’re not alone you’re not alone

Look beyond the window there
To the sky above to the open air
Look beyond what you can see
Close your eyes and just believe

The lion roars and the lamb lays down
They live together in a whole new town
They’re calling me and they’re calling you
From the cold hard facts that we’re on our own
To the age old truth that we’re not alone

Don’t be afraid little warrior bride
Your victory’s on the other side
You’re not alone you’re not alone

Hello from Vernon

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. You are all on my mind.
There's such a tension within me. I want to be back in Vancouver and see all of you, but I also feel an urgency about Vernon. I don't want to miss anything that the Lord has to teach me here. I want to take advantage of every opportunity, every divine appointment. I try not to become pressured by 'expectations', but at the same time, this is a test (in a way) and I want to pass with flying colours. Not a test by the War College, or by my hosts, but a test in faithfulness - what am I doing with what God gave me. How do I live when I'm not under the microscope.
Anyway...
Just some thoughts from k-thoughts.
Love and Grace to all of you!
Oh, and I wrote something on my blog that God revealed to me. Check it out if you'd like.

I need fruit. Fruit of the Spirit.

I need LOVE

I need JOY

I need PEACE

I need PATIENCE

I need
KINDNESS

I need GOODNESS

I need FAITHFULNESS

I need GENTLENESS

I need SELF-CONTROL

I feel as though I am lacking in fruit today(and lately). I am having trouble loving some people and seeing Jesus in them daily. I am in desperate need of some good fruit.

Blessings.

Just a tip for all you men

Hey all you guys out there. Just a little tip from a girl to a guy. If a girl ever says she's feeling fat. Don't sat "Well.... your not unattractivly fat."

Praise the Lord

I know that most of you already know this from our 614 community but I'm posting it for those who don't belong in our 614 community who have been keeping up on this blog.
(Copied from my blog)
I feel like an idiot...but at the same time PRAISE THE LORD!
Hannah is NOT dead.
She did NOT hang herself.
It was only a rumour that had started in the DTES.
Where that rumour came from I'm not sure.
So I'm sorry about the big panic...thanks for praying...keep praying for Taytum...but also keep praying for Hannah...it was a big shock for her to call some friends and find out that everyone thought that she was dead.
Praise the Lord that He is good and faithful.

A New Denise, The Denise Strikes Back, Return of the Denise

Denise is back in Bangor!!! Huray!!! Hurray!!!! Hoor-eh?! Let me tell you, I was missing having her around. Just in having her away showed more of how community is so important and how we need each other!

Those of you who don't have someone else with you- I understand more how it is for you. Keep being bold and strong, and CLING to the LORD! He will bless you and he will keep you safe. He is our strong tower, and in Him the righteous can always find shelter from the attacks of our very unrighteous enemy! Keep going strong, in the power of YHWH's might. You have my prayers!

Prayer Request

Guys keep Taytum (Hannah Azak's son) in your prayers.
Recently Hannah, who was charged and imprisoned for murder, hung herself in her jail cell.
We need to pray for her baby son Taytum...
PLEASE PRAY!

Hmmm... maybe this will make everyone think funny thoughts like "I wonder what i'll be doing 2 years from now"

~That is all~

Teen Camp....

Here are my favourite memories from teen camp, so that way the rest of you can experience the memory with me.
In the Mud pit....

Beracah Walters-Wulfing and Crystal Myers team up as Team America to fight against the unstoppable force in Jacynta Pittaway. The were mud wrestling, makes it even funnier.

Matt running, fully covered in coveralls and cardboard, while 7 teens aim paintball guns at all parts of his body. Then him getting hit in the head and Matt going down, quite spectacular.

Also, Aaron White doing ninja-type moves while more teens open fire on his quick moving Kung Fu. He didnt escape unscathed.

Aarons spectacular dance moves during the party night, esquisite. Looked like he was either doing the heimliech maneuver to himself or stretching his arms while running.

Scoring a perfect headsot against one of the 614 teen cell girls while in the midst of a MASSIVE flour bomb fight.

Watching over half the teens walk up to the front to make a decision to live for Jesus!!!!

Listening to a kid tell me how his life sucks, then listen to him pray for God to come into his life and take over.

Being in a cabin with one of the most annoying kids of all time, then seeing him, in one night, change into a kid who was there to have fun and then hearing him thank different leaders for not giving up on him.

That was teen camp. Holy Spirit turned up and turned the place upside down.
Jesus rocked out and kids were delivered. There is no better thing than watching that.
God bless you
Andy

Keep on Keeping on

A word from the LORD.

i already shared this with matthew and kath, thinking it was just for them but now i believe that this may be for everybody.

this is a dream i had a couple nights ago:

it was the last two weeks of war college and we were all back in vancouver. one day we were having a team challenge type game and i think we were split up by our hotel groups. at one point i was walking down a stairway and ran into a distraught kath. she was very upset and crying and informed me that matthew had quit the war college over some stupid 'two-year old' thing.

this is the word i got the next morning while praying about it:

keep on keeping on. whatever you're going through shall soon pass.

i thought it was for matthew at first, but then realized it was probably for kath as well or instead. i sent the word to the both of them, with God's permission, seeing how i'm not supposed to be e-mailing or blogging, but now feel it in my spirit that everyone will benefit from this word.

so . . .

keep on keeping on. whatever you're going through shall soon pass.

i love and miss you all.

after thought: i just got another word. i think there was something significant about the hotel groups and/or squad groups. so, if i'm hearing correctly, we need to focus in on prayer for each other. pray for your hotel and/or squad group specifically.

Feelin' Alright

Hey guys,
I am doing much better. Hit a couple of rough days, but I am back on my feet.
I followed the good advice of a wise friend and started singing praises to God more as I do things like cooking, washing dishes etc. It's been helping out huge. I've also been able to pray with some people over the phone, and got to pray with my hosts last night. Praise the LORD!
I also got a bicycle last night for the summer. Woohoo! I was able to go biking with my friend Conner today. This is going to help HUGE. PRAISE THE LORD!
Love you guys so much. Thanks for your prayers and support.

Also...had a flashback today that made me laugh. I can't remember who was there, but in the fall when girls were allowed to hang out in 705, and out of no where a mattress was thrown out of someone's window. And then people from the Empress were just showering the streets by throwing things out of the window, and then the bus and the car crashed, and all the war college kids were poking their heads out and we were waving to those in the War Room etc.
I don't know why I just thought of that. A bonding moment I guess. It was pretty funny though.

GRACE to all of you.
I feel sooo much better today. I am taking this time to really journal and pray about what God is teaching me through this. All praise to Him.

Much love,

Be Bold! Be Strong! For the LORD your God is with you.

This morning in pray the Bible, we prayed for those 614ians that are no longer in community, i.e. have gone to their homes or are on their summer placements alone and stuff. Here's some stuff I was getting-

There's a spirit of loneliness that has come against us. It speaks lies.

Truth- We have received the Holy Spirit of promise. Jesus promised He wouldn't leave us alone, but send Holy Spirit to be with us! Recently I've been getting from YHWH a lot the fact that Holy Spirit is a personality of the God Head and I've been trying to drop the "the" from His name. It's like calling Jesus "The Jesus." Three in one, Father, Son, Spirit, co-equal in power and glory. YHWH is never alone. Neither are we. Remember, feelings are fickle and can't always be trusted, but but faith endures. You are not alone.

We are united! We're part of a big huge family! By the grace of God, we are accepted in the Beloved, united by a bond of YHWH's perfect holy love! WOW!

So then, be truly glad! Rejoice in the LORD always! It's a lot more fun. Feeling lonely? Give God glory for never leaving you alone. After resisting the devil, he will flee from you and you will be free to praise the LORD in spirit and truth. That nasty little devil isn't as great as he makes himself out to be. He can't handle truth and light for very long. Cherish it!

The Lord bless you and keep you as we march victoriously along the Highway of Holiness to brighter place! Glory!
